Ara provides tertiary study across six sites. The city campus provides a wide range of services and facilities including theatre and exhibition spaces. A programme of work due to damage sustained following the 2010 & 2011 earthquakes was carried out over a five-year period involving repairs and reinstatement works to a total of 67 buildings. Key project challenges included finding sufficient space to continue operations and scheduling key resources to carry out key activities during the Christmas period shutdowns.
