The B201 redevelopment has transformed the University of Auckland’s 1970s Social Sciences building into a modern, sustainable education facility. This adaptive reuse project retained the existing structure while improving seismic performance, reducing embodied carbon, and enhancing campus connectivity. The upgraded facility includes flexible teaching spaces, lecture theatres, specialist labs, and a new timber atrium.
Achieving a 6-Star Green Star rating, B201 integrates high-performance energy solutions, supporting the University’s transition to 100% electric heating.
